Privacy Safe Tracking Technology Supported by Apple

With Apple’s crackdown on developers using unique identity code (UDID) technology for tracking taking effect on 1 May, there has been industry concern that not enough mobile users are up to date with their operating system. Users must be on iOS6 for advertisers to be able to use IDFA for tracking in app activity.

We’ve shown this to be a moot point with over 93 percent already on iOS6, leaving no excuse for privacy invasive UDID download tracking technology to be used.

Our adjust.io SDK is now integrated with Facebook mobile app install ads. This means that app marketers can measure and compare all key mobile marketing sources on iOS and Android with one open source SDK.

The adjust.io analyzer matches any URL-based advertising source such as in-app ads, Adwords, enewsletters, or even QR codes to app installs in the iOS, Android, Windows Phone and Windows Store environment. Facebook mobile app install ads, the most popular non-URL based source, has now been added.
